Childs Park is within walking distance from our house. Visit Childs Park  and see the many beautiful waterfalls with safe walking trails & boardwalks. By Factory Falls is a ruin of a wool mill that was built around 1820  by Joseph Brooks, who operated the mill until his death in 1832. He and his family owned our house and the property  all the way from us to Childs Park . This land was called "Friendship" and contained 327 acres. The Brooks Family have a Family  Cemetery across the road from Childs Park. They came here from Yorkshire, England in 1816 and owned this property until 1873.
